Employer Engagement Manager
Coming from a commercial background in travel and having worked within the Business Development Team at Sussex Downs for almost 10 years, Rose has vast experience in creating positive links with the local business community and supporting organisations in identifying and sourcing solutions to their training needs. Qualified to Level 4 Information, Advice and Guidance and having worked across sectors in her time in the team, Rose is passionate about ensuring that employers and young people get clarity and simplicity in the information that they receive around Apprenticeships.
In her spare time Rose enjoys playing netball, camping and spending time with her two young children.
Account Manager
CIPD qualified with experience of working in HR and Recruitment, Dan has been directly involved with apprenticeships for four years, building up a strong network of employers and has acquired a sound understanding of apprenticeship programmes across sectors. Dan is passionate about employability and the importance of developing soft skills in candidates entering into the workplace.
In his spare time Dan enjoys playing a variety of sport, dining out, travelling and spending time with his young family.
Account Manager
Penny brings with her a wealth of experience including her time within the Economic Development team of Eastbourne Borough Council. Her knowledge of the business community in and around Eastbourne and Lewes is second to none which allows her to focus on developing the workforce of a business and encouraging business growth.
In her spare time, Penny enjoys walking, sewing and is actively involved in various local Eastbourne based community interest groups.
Employer Short Course Co-ordinator
Karen is our Commercial Course Co-ordinator, involved in the planning, setting up and scheduling of over 150 accredited non-Accredited and bespoke courses for employers including IT, H&S, Management & First Aid. Having previously worked as a supervisor in retail and as an assessor in retail and warehousing, Karen has worked at the college for 16 years. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience of working with employers in developing bespoke training solutions and is qualified to L2 Information, Advice and Guidance and ILM First Line Management.
In her spare time Karen enjoys walking her dog Tess and playing darts at a regional level.
Employer and Recruitment Advisor
Katie Parris works as an Employer and Recruitment Advisor with her role being divided into supporting employers and candidates into Apprenticeship vacancies. Katie helps applicants with their CVs, interview advice and their application forms and also takes the pain away from employers by setting up interviews, contacting applicants with poor applications, shortlisting and issuing feedback. Qualified to Level 3 Information, Advice and Guidance Katie has been in this role for just under two years after graduating from the University of Reading.
In her spare time Katie enjoys writing for her travel blog, and has travelled to North America, Africa and Europe, with plans to go further afield in the future.
Account Manager
Sarah has worked for the college for nearly seven years and holds qualifications in Assessing, Quality Assurance and Advice and Guidance; her industry experience prior to this was gained in the travel, pensions and retail sectors. She has spent 5 years working within the work based learning team as an Assessor, coordinator and quality assurer providing responsive but quality driven training to small and large businesses across the county and beyond.
Sarah is also currently an External Verifier for a large awarding organisation and has a passion for helping organisations to realise the training opportunities that are available and facilitating them throughout the process.
In her spare time Sarah enjoys Cooking, live music and yoga.
Account Manger
Debbie has worked for the college for 27 years acquiring extensive knowledge and experience in the education sector engaging with employers, advising on development opportunities to define and source the most appropriate training and development solutions and ensuring all training interventions are identified.
Qualified to Level 5 Diploma in Management, ILM Chartered Management, Level 4 Information Advice and Guidance, A1 Assessor Award/Taqa, QCA Health and Safety in the work place.
In her spare time Debbie enjoys the theatre, dinning out, travel, music, swimming, pilates and spending time with family.
Account Manager
With a background in learning and development in both commercial and third sector organisations, Gill brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. Her qualifications include level 5 Management, Assessor and Internal Verification, level 3 IOSH (Health & Safety) and level 3 IAG (Information, Advice & Guidance). Gill has been involved with apprenticeships for four years and works with employers across all sectors. She is passionate about raising awareness about the benefits of apprenticeships in schools and believes they are an ideal way to gain experience and skills in the workplace.
In her spare time Gill enjoys going to classes at the gym, swimming, reading, dining out and travelling.
